Royal Flying Corps cap badge
This brass badge is from from the cap of a Royal Flying Corps uniform. The Royal Flying Corps was established in 1912 and became the Royal Air Force in 1917. This badge dates from the First World War and belonged to Captain Oscar Greig. He was involved in early aerial photography, was shot down by the Red Baron, and flew a miraculous 400 hours in service.
