Magic Lantern Slide: excavated trench

Hembury hillfort is an important Neolithic and Iron Age site in the Blackdown Hills, East Devon. The site was excavated between 1930-1935 by Hilary Liddell, and this glass slide is one of several made to record the excavations. This image shows one of the large trenches with several pits and excavated features.
