Vase

This moulded clay vessel portrays the mythical figure Naymlap on a tule reed boat on a journey across the sea. This mythical arrival of the Sican lord by sea may actually represent the real beach landing of a lord and his people who ruled the Lambayeque Valley centuries before the Inca Empire came into being.
