Point de Venise lace sample
This sample of Point de Venise collected by Charlotte Treadwin shows some of the painstaking work created by Continental lace-makers. Point de Venise was a needle-made lace demanding high technical skill. It was used to make accessories such as the broad collars and cuffs worn by both men and women during the 17th century.
