Magic Lantern Slide: Worthing Town Hall

This image by William Weaver Baker shows Worthing Town Hall which was succeeded by a new town hall in 1933. The town hall and surrounding street are decorated, possibly for King George V’s coronation in 1911. The Town Hall was an important focal point for people living in Worthing. Weaver Baker who took the photograph mainly focused on buildings and objects in Exeter, however as this image demonstrates he did go further afield.
