Magic Lantern Slide: The Unicorn Hotel, Shrewsbury
This photograph by William Weaver Baker shows the Unicorn Hotel in Shrewsbury. The Unicorn Hotel no longer exists but the building still stands and is now a shop. The building was constructed in the late sixteenth century but underwent extensive renovation in 1890. Weaver Baker’s image also shows the street beyond the hotel and people walking up and down the pavement.
