Magic Lantern Slide: Main Door, Plas Newydd, Llangollen

This lantern slide shows the main door of the Plas Newydd, this is a highly detailed door much like the rest of the location. It is painted in a coat of black paint that can be seen throughout the building the stylistic choices shown in this architecture is very gothic and dark. Part of the Baker collection that was acquired in 1977 and taken in between the 19th and 20th century.

William Weaver Baker was a keen local amateur photographer and his collection of lantern slides offer a rare glimpse of Exeter and the surrounding area in the early twentieth century.
