Magic Lantern Slide: Miniature Railway, Margate
This photographic slide by William Weaver Baker shows the miniature railway in Dreamland amusement park, Margate. The miniature railway was installed around 1920 and was one of multiple rides, including a scenic railway roller coaster. The creator of the amusement park drew inspiration from Coney Island in America. The small sign states the train station is called Park Station and shows there were two miniature trains, one with two child passengers.
