Magic Lantern Slide: Flower Studies - Anemones
This slide by William Weaver Baker shows a group of anemones in a vase. The composition of the flowers is unusual as one of the stems is drooping, but this provides a further element of interest to the study of the form of the plant. Unusually for Weaver Baker’s photographs, this image is over-exposed, causing the vase to appear washed out. He was a keen amateur photographer and produced sets of slides on different themes, this slide being part of a set of 52 flower images.
