Magic Lantern Slide: Ancient Stalls, Exeter Cathedral, removed to St Lawrence Church

This image is from a set of over 200 photographic images of Exeter Cathedral taken in the early twentieth century. They were donated to the museum by Mr Weaver Baker who was a keen photographer at that time, who recorded many historic buildings and artefacts from the city of Exeter. St Lawrence church and its contents were destroyed during the Blitz in the Second World War, and this is one of the few surviving images of the medieval stalls which had previously been moved there from the Cathedral.
