Magic Lantern Slide: Foundations of Nebuchadnezzar's Throne, Babylon
This photograph by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows the historic site of Babylon, featuring the remains of Nebuchadnezzar's Throne. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He visited several archaeological and historical sites and photographed them to record his experiences.
