Magic Lantern Slide: Group of children running
This photograph by Alfred Rowden shows a group of children running past the camera. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed scenes like this to record his experiences, and was especially interested in local people and their customs.
