Magic Lantern Slide: Palace and landing stage on bank of waterway
This photograph by Alfred Rowden shows a river with a large ornate building on the river bank. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed scenes like this to record his experiences.
