Magic Lantern Slide: Group of men in doorway
This photograph by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a group of men in a doorway, probably the entrance to a mosque. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
