Magic Lantern Slide: Weathered rock or pyramid in desert
This photograph by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a large feature in the desert, probably a weathered rock. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He visited several archaeological and natural sites and photographed them to record his experiences.
