Magic Lantern Slide: A.O. Rowden holding small hand camera

This photograph shows Alfred Rowden holding a camera in his hands, as an early form of ‘selfie’. The photo must have been taken using a different camera with someone else operating it. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920.
