Jug

One of a remarkable collection of late medieval jugs that was discovered during the construction of Princesshay in Exeter. The remains of over 80 jugs were found packed into a well - the single biggest find of medieval pottery ever found in Exeter. Most of the jugs were made locally, but there are quite a range of shapes and sizes.
The Exeter: a Place in Time (EAPIT) project has recently carried out research on the medieval pottery from Exeter.
