Figurine of a female head
This statuette shows the head of a Greek lady with an elaborate hair style and decorative hair bands. The model dates from the Hellenistic period (336-146 BC), and was probably part of a votive offering.
It belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Montague who collected over 800 classical archaeological objects, which he bequeathed to the museum on his death.
