Figurine of Diana Venatrix

Diana Venatrix was a Roman huntress and mistress of wild animals, and a patron saint of women, also representing fertility and chastity. This figure belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Montague who collected over 800 classical archaeological objects, which he bequeathed to the museum on his death.
