Faunal bone assemblage

An assemblage of animal bone collected during a large rescue excavation at Goldsmith Street in the centre of historic Exeter. The bones are of late Saxon date and were recovered from a single feature. The assemblage was included in a published synthesis of faunal bone from the city, but the site itself remains one of the most important unpublished archives from the city.
