Leaf-shaped arrowhead

This leaf-shaped arrowhead dates to the Neolithic period and comes from Haldon in Devon. These arrowheads were used for hunting and warfare and replaced the microliths that were used in the Mesolithic. The fine shape was achieved by pressing small flakes of stone off the original piece.
