Sampler

This sampler tells the story of the Smales family of St David’s in Exeter. It was worked by one of the daughters of the family, Anna Maria. It gives the births and deaths of her parents and siblings up to 1837. From the dates on the sampler we know that Anna Maria was only eleven when she completed the work.
