Stool

This wooden stool from the Grasslands of Cameroon would have been used by a noble. When not in use it would have been cared for by an attendant. It dates to the first half of the twentieth century. The support struts for the stool shows a matrix of leopards which symbolises the power and authority of the aristocracy.
