Shoe

These dark bronze shoes have red silk ruching along the vamp. The embroidery is in red silk tambour stitch. The slightly rounded square toe and no heel are typical of this period. Glace leather has a high shine. Kid leather is very soft and often used to make gloves as well as shoes. These are the type known as straights.
