German bank note
This German bank note was donated to the museum fifteen days after the end of the First World War. It had been taken from a German soldier on the battlefield at Ypres, probably by the man who donated it. The museum collection contains many items that were collected as souvenirs from the battlefields and now serve as a poignant pieces of history.
